François Brett - Eric Breton

The year is 2001. At his mother's death, Théo discovers he was an adopted child of unknown parents. At first, he feels totally lost, but with support from his girlfriend Elsa, he sets out to trace his origins. His search takes him to Montmartre in Paris. Between past and present, little by little, his history going back to 1962, is unveiled to the spectator. He will come about meeting singular characters, such as the accordion player and a certain Gavroche, a person knowledgable of the history of the neighbourhood. In the world of his past, a whole gallery of people evolve, each influencing his destiny, notedly, the landlord of a bistro and a few of his regulars : an artist, a poet, a cheerful gang of rockers, a couple of hoodlums, a lady tourist, a young local girl... A popular, humane and dramatic musical.
